Alcohol purchased from Pompei Baskets is not for resale, and is for personal consumption only.

All packages sent out by Pompei Baskets REQUIRE an adult signature upon delivery. It is highly recommended that you provide us with a business shipping address for best service.
Adult signatures are not a direct signature by your recipient. We are not responsible for packages delivered to the correct address and signed for by another individual. Again, we suggest delivering to a business address or a trusted building.
Customer comments on their order such as “Please leave on back porch” or “Please leave at front door” will be ignored!
Change of address after shipment is in transit will be an additional $20.00.
Packages that are returned to us due to no one being present for a signature or the package not being picked up are still liable for shipping fees that will be taken care of by the purchaser (you.) These fees include the original delivery fee and the return shipment fee.

Alcohol Shipping Restrictions
Alcohol is a Perishable Commodity
We are legally allowed to ship alcohol only to those states with laws that explicitly permit the shipment of alcohol directly to consumers. Each state’s laws regulate the number of cases of alcohol that can periodically be shipped to a single person. If your order exceeds the allowable quantity in your state, we will contact you by phone or email.
Extremes of temperature–cold, heat, or humidity–may adversely affect the condition of your purchase during shipment or home storage. Pompei Baskets is not responsible for, and will not replace alcohol that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment or after delivery to you. When your order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the content becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
We can NOT ship wine & spirits to the following states at this time: Alaska, Georgia, Hawaii, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Washington State, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico will be at an additional cost.
Standard deliveries in the Continental US are shipped via Ground Service. When filling out Shipping Information, please provide a physical address as shipments of alcohol may not be delivered to a P.O. Box. Standard delivery time is five to ten business days. Air freight or delays may be required in extreme weather. When using FedEx 2nd Day Air or other expedited delivery service, all orders received after 9:00 am will leave our warehouse the following business day. Three delivery attempts will be made before the package is returned to us. The purchaser (you) is responsible for any shipping charges occurring during this time. If the package is to be RESHIPPED, additional charges will apply. To avoid this inconvenience, we recommend delivery to a commercially zoned business address.
All orders received after 3PM (eastern time) will be processed the next business day. Orders are not shipped out Saturdays & Sundays. To receive an order on a Saturday, please select “Saturday Delivery” during checkout. Any orders places over the weekend, will be processed the following business day. Fedex/UPS policy is to deliver within three attempts, if undeliverable after third attempt, package is [usually] held at certain FedEx/UPS location where the package recipient will be responsible for pick-ups. This is out of our hands. Any package that is not picked up within the five business day window will be returned to the shipper (us) and the buyer of the package (you) will be held accountable for the first shipment fee and the return shipment fee of your package.
Return, Exchange, Refund Policies
Your satisfaction with our products is very important to us and therefore guaranteed. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days for a full refund or an exchange.
Return & Exchange procedure:
1. Contact Pompei Baskets customer service via email or phone as soon as possible. Explain your dissatisfaction with the product.
2. If you are exchanging, let us know what item you would like in exchange. Additional shipment charges may apply.
3. Due to State and Federal laws all contents unless broken must be returned in full. Do not discard contents of the bottle. If it is a quality control issue, please re-cork the unused portion for lab analysis purposes and seal the item(s) securely.
4. Packages must be returned prepaid; we cannot accept COD deliveries. We will refund shipping charges only if we have sent the wrong item or the item is defective. If replaced, we will also pay shipping costs for items sent in exchange.
5. Once we receive your return item(s), we will credit your original payment for the purchase price and your replacement will be shipped. If we need to replace an order due to damage in transit, please allow 1-2 weeks following receipt of your customer service request for your replacement to arrive.
6. Refunds are only acceptable if the incorrect basket or product was sent to a location and a new one is not requested. We are not responsible for packages that are not picked up or no one is available to sign for them after the attempted delivery. The purchaser (you) is responsible for shipping fees, even if the basket is returned.
Please help us deliver your order by verifying delivery addresses carefully. Errors or changes in delivery instructions that incur additional charges will be passed on to you. (see above)
If you are receiving a credit, the credit card used for the original purchase will be credited. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement. Tax charges are based on state and local tax laws and tax rates for the delivery address of your order. Where required, tax will also be applied to the shipping and handling charges. If you return an item for a refund, you will also receive a refund for the taxes you paid for that item. You will not receive a refund for the taxes you paid on the shipping and handling of that item, as the shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable once an item has been shipped. Please note that on-screen order totals reflect estimated tax. The actual charge to your credit card will reflect all applicable taxes calculated at the time your order is shipped.
