Johnnie Walker Blue Magnum
Johnnie Walker Blue Magnum has won six Le Monde Selection Grand Golds and three double golds at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Blue Label was created to memorialize the original whiskey. That whiskey was created from all four ends of Scotland and then became the original face of the company – Old Highland Whisky. JW Blue has a velvety sea of powerful flavors like hazelnuts, sherry, oranges, and hazelnuts. The rich and smoky flavors of ginger, kumquats, and dark chocolate emerge before subtle hints of dried fruits into a smooth, lingering finish of soft smoke. Johnnie Walker Blue Label is inspired by Alexander Walker’s 1867 Old Highland Whisky. It was at the forefront of an era when fewer casks were available and quality cask selection was in its infancy.
- NOSE – Take in the wonderfully mellow, rounded nose – replete with dry smokiness artfully mixed with the sweetness of raisins.
- PALATE – Serving a velvety combination of vanilla, honey and rose petals – before broadening out to include a zesty orange flavor with notes of hazelnut, sherry and dark chocolate.
- FINISH – Signing off with a rich and luxuriously long finish, which showcases Johnnie Walker’s trademark smokiness in the most sophisticated way.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label is incomparably rich and smoky, with velvety smooth breaking waves of powerful flavor. Created from hand-selected casks of some of the rarest and most exceptional whiskies, there is no sensory experience quite like Johnnie Walker Blue Label. Hazelnuts, honey, sherry and oranges tumble in first, before releasing hidden secrets like ginger, kumquats, sandalwood and dark chocolate. A rich honey sweetness emerges, accompanied by hints of pepper and dried fruits, before an impossibly long, lingering, smooth finish of perfectly balanced, soft smoke.
