The Cannonball Sonoma County Merlot is an award winning wine that will impress your recipients for the next special occasion whether it’s a birthday, new home, new job/promotion or the holiday season. Cannonball Sonoma County Merlot is satin smooth and medium bodied with unique huckleberry and toasted oak aromas. Its palate is sophisticated like a classic Bordeaux with rich chocolate and spiced cake flavors.
This Merlot received a Gold award in 2012 and it’s been rated by multiple publications and wine reviewers including: SOMM Journal-90 points, Wine Enthusiast-84 points and CellarTracker-88 points. We’re sure your recipients will also enjoy its bright, playful palate with brown spice and hints of toasty oak. Cannonball Sonoma County Merlot 2014 pairs magnificently with duck, dishes with rich, sumptuous sauces and red meats.
Although Cannonball wines encourages a happy-go-lucky approach to savoring their wines, they’re very serious and devoted to creating great, memorable “WOW” wines. The wines have been such a hit that Cannonball had the honor of being the exclusive wine at the opening celebration for the sold out 2016 TED Talks Women’s Conference. The winery was also featured at the 2016 three-day Golden Gate Park festival with renowned musical acts: Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem and Lionel Richie.
Cannonball Wines offer a 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, a 2014 Chardonnay, a 2015 Sauvignon Blanc and two Angels and Cowboys wines. Angels and Cowboys is a collaboration between Northern California graphic artist, Michael Schwab, and Cannonball Wine Company co-founders, Yoav Gilat and Dennis Hill. Cannonball wines maintain their continuity from vintage to vintage because the grapes are procured from Dennis Hill’s family’s small estate vineyards and vineyards owned by his Sonoma County contacts.
