Hennessy VSOP Privilège 2016 Limited Edition Gift Set is designed by CARNOVSKY, an Italian duo based in Milan with tons of artistic talent. Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilege has notes of French oak, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, and candied fruits. It should be enjoyed neat or on the rocks. Cocktails are always an option, but will not optimize the full flavor. The 2016 Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège Limited Edition bottle has a limited supply and will only be available as they last. It is expected to sell out at a higher rate than usual.

CARNOVSKY, which consists of Francesco Rugi and Silvia Quintanilla, first founded their studio in 2006 and grabbed the world’s attention with the “RGB Project.” They combined 17th century illustrations with a digital technique using the technology world’s primary colors: red, green, and blue. The unique vision comes to life on the box itself and the label of the Hennessy VSOP. Leaflets are included in the limited edition gift set along with colored filters to enhance the illustrations this duo created for the bottle. Customers are invited to invent their own RGB symbols on craftmysymbol.com to express their personal identity.

Hennessy was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy in Cognac, France. Throughout the years, he thrived by exporting brandies back to his native Ireland and England. Twenty years later, Richard hired Jean Fillioux as the first Master Blender.  Since then, the families have been extremely close. 8 generations of these families have continued to run and oversee the aging and blending of Hennessy products. Today, Yann Fillioux holds the reigns as the Master Blender and also crafted Hennessy Paradis – a cognac of 100 eaux-de-vie. Hennessy became a prestige company when the Prince of Wales (who was a cognac connoisseur) and the feature King George IV of Great Britain ordered “very superior old pale” from the house. V.S.O.P has since become a benchmark for the cognac community. It wasn’t until 1856 that the brand received its permanent symbol: the coat-of-arms. The Bras Armé is an arm and axe that pay homage to the founder’s military service. His service earned him French citizenship and land in Cognac.

In 1859, Hennessy made its first delivery. The cognac first made its Far East debut in China and quickly became a foreign ambassador for French Culture. To this day, the Henny is still an icon in Chinese culture and used to celebrate during family celebrations and at high-end restaurants. The most popular cognac in the world was established in 1865 as Hennessy V.S. Maurice Hennessy, Richard’s great-grandson, created a star classification system to distinguish cognac’s qualities. The brand finally reaches the United States in 1972 and quickly gained popularity. In 2011, Yann Fillioux created the Paradis Impérial after he was inspired by a legend of a rare blend of 1818 Cognac. This blend was reportedly created for Czar Alexander I of Russia. Yann and designer Stéphanie Balini created the faceted shape for the ornate crystal decanter.

Hennessy Black Cognac is extremely smooth with notes of citrus fruits, fresh grapes, honey, and jasmine. Henny Black has floral aromas with a complex roundness that is intense per your first smell and taste. The flavors may seem strong but are actually quite delicate on the palate.
