Selectively Single Whiskey Gift Basket
Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select is bottled at 94-proof and carried subtle layers of caramel and spice flavors. Sweet aromatics and bright fruit aromas give this Tennessee Whiskey a one-of-a-kind flavor. Just like the Old No. 7, Single Barrel is also charcoal mellowed which gives it a robust character. You can taste the distinct flavors from the aging barrel with each sip. Our Selectively Single Whiskey Gift Basket includes a bottle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel Whiskey along with a flask, cigars, pretzels, and nuts in a handsome wicker basket.
It all began in 1864 when Jasper Newton Daniel, more commonly known as Jack, introduced the world to his signature charcoal-mellowed Tennessee Whiskey: Old No. 7. Jack left his home the same year he learned the art of making whiskey from Reverend Dan Call and the benefits of the Lincoln County Process, or charcoal mellowing. Two years later the Jack Daniel Distillery is officially established and making it the FIRST registered distillery in the United States. Jack Daniel was the first-ever master distiller.

The establishment opened right next to the whisky’s prime resource: Cave Spring Hollow. Cave Spring Hollow is Lynchburg’s most famous natural resource. It takes almost 800 gallons of water from deep below the Earth’s surface every minute. The spring maintains a 56-degree temperature and is the whiskey’s lifeline. The whiskey won a gold medal in 1904 at the World’s Fair in St. Louis, Missouri. This was the first of seven gold medals Old No. 7 would carry on to win. Unfortunately, Jack Daniel did not love to see many more medals. In 1906 Jack was unable to open his safe after arriving to work early and kicks it out of frustration. He breaks his toe which was the ultimate demise of his life. Being unwed and not bearing any children, in 1907 Jack left his land and distillery to nephew Lem Motlow.
